At FBC Marlin, our mission is clear: empowering prayerful, servant-hearted disciples to transform our diverse community by making more disciples (1 Corinthians 9:22-23). Rooted deeply in prayer, we seek God’s presence and guidance in every part of our lives and ministry.
We are devoted to following Jesus through intentional discipleship—growing in faith, character, and obedience—as we live out His call to make disciples who multiply and lead (Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Timothy 2:2).
Our church models servant-hearted living, putting others first in humility and love, just as Jesus did (Mark 10:45). We believe families are the cornerstone of faith and invest intentionally in marriages, parents, and children to build strong, Christ-centered households (Deuteronomy 6:6-7).
Finally, we are committed to community transformation—bringing spiritual renewal and hope through love in action to every corner of Marlin (Matthew 5:14-16).
Together, we are building a church that prays, serves, and grows—empowered to make a lasting impact for God’s Kingdom.
We want you to feel truly welcome the moment you step through our doors. We understand that visiting a new place can sometimes feel a little intimidating, but at FBC Marlin, we’re a warm and friendly community that’s open to everyone—just as you are.
Come as you are! There’s no dress code here. You’ll see men and women, kids and teens worshipping comfortably in everything from jeans and casual wear to dresses and jackets—whatever makes you feel at home.
Our hope is that from the time you arrive until the moment you leave, you experience genuine warmth, connection, and the presence of God. As Hebrews 4:16 reminds us, “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace.” We gather to worship God together and to fellowship as one family in Christ.
We can’t wait to welcome you. We have a place for you here to grow with us!
At FBC Marlin, we’re passionate about partnering with parents to help children and teens grow strong in their faith.
Nursery & Children’s Church
We provide a loving, well-staffed nursery for babies so you can worship with peace of mind, knowing your little ones are cared for with tender attention. During our main worship service, children also have the opportunity to participate in both a interactive Childern's Sermon time, and Children’s Church: a special time designed just for them to learn about Jesus in a fun and age-appropriate way while the pastor is offering his sermon.
Rooted Kids (K–5th Grade) offers a fun, Christ-centered environment where kids learn to follow Jesus through Scripture, games, missions, and meaningful friendships. Join us Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM for Connection Groups and Sunday evenings at 5:00 PM for our exciting new Awana Clubs with a kid-friendly meal and Scripture-based discipleship.
Rooted Students (6th–12th Grade) provides a welcoming, relationship-focused space where teens engage in honest Bible study, conversations, and activities that help them navigate faith in today’s world. Meet us Sundays at 9:45 AM and 5:00 PM.

At Rooted Kids, our mission is to walk alongside parents in discipling children the way Jesus did. With the Bible as our foundation, we create a fun, engaging, and Christ-centered environment where children grow through Scripture, games, hands-on activities, missions education, meaningful relationships, and shared meals.
Our goal is to help kids develop a deep love for Jesus and learn what it truly means to follow Him.

Rooted Student Ministry
Discipling teenagers can feel overwhelming at times—but it’s also one of the most rewarding parts of parenting and ministry. At Rooted Student Ministry, we create a welcoming and relationship-focused environment where students are encouraged to grow in their faith.
Through Bible study, honest conversations, engaging games, and shared meals, we help teenagers reflect on what it truly means to be a follower Jesus Christ in a every changing and challenging world.
